Given that our cars are up to 18 years old now, any many other things are also wearing out, some of which currently can't be had for any amount of money, I wouldn't think that this sort of thing would be useful. i like my seats and wouldn't want to have the "snug room" between the side bolsters and me made smaller.

All I can say is fugly. That look works in an off roader, but not a sports car.

I have refined a special technique for entering and exiting the Porsche 968. Upon entering, I lower my body while slamming my shin into the leading edge of the dash then fall into the seat while in significant pain. Then when exiting, I throw the other leg out of the car first, slamming it into the edge of the dash, and try to lift my fat a$$ out with my right hand on the wheel and the other on the door sill. By the time I have done this a few times around town, I no longer need chiro and my legs feel like they just played hockey without pads. But I don't care about that. I could just get in and out like any other normal person. I'd be on my third or fourth seat by now if I did that. But you know what? I'll tell you what. Normal is a setting on my dryer. Normal is a cupholder that came already in the car. Normal and 968 just don't belong in the same sentence, except in this one for the purpose of this here diatribe. I willingly sacrifice my body so that my driver's side bolster doesn't have to.

The "degree of difficulty" increases if you engage the parking brake (aka "Widowmaker") and attempt mount/dismount wearing dress pants with cuffs. Even the slightest tear can cost you a full tenth. Combined with an errant fingerprint, there goes a shot at the podium...

Thanks, guys. I laughed out loud on the Porschnastics moves. Try that with factory sport seats... Those darn bolsters are HUGE. I have to move the seat back to get in and out owning to being only 5'8" and having to get too darn close to the dash to execute any of those aforementioned moves.
