Sea to Sky
#21

OK you 2 - I tried to send email to your PM address and it was rejected, so here's the deal: I sent this to 12 guys with 944/951/968's that are PCA BBC types

Hey guys, 3 day weekend, no BBC, no AutoX, so what's the consensus??? Anybody up for a quick morning drive? A few new guys with 968 coupes wanting to take a drive.

- 745am meet at Stanley Park Aquarium main entrance parking lot

- loop the Park, then onto Lions Gate at the parkway short cut

- up Cypress Bowl - a few suspension setting loops before the guard chases us away

- back down for a quick coffee or whatever in WV

- outta there by 10am

Let me know if there is any interest! Supposed to be very nice sunny weather on Saturday.

So far that makes 8 of us for Saturday.... I better figure out an interesting route - I live in WV, so I know a few interesting places. Plan on 2.5 hours with stops, for some great photo ops. Bring your camera and significant other if you like.

I'll be bringing my SLR, and possibly a camcorder if I'm lucky

Edit: Ok, I've secured a camera. I'll be mounting it on the front passanger seat to record all the action ahead of me

Hey guys, great to see everyone and meet a few new P car fans today! Make sure you come out for the BBC next weekend.

Maybe we should set up a gallery folder somewhere for the shots from today - but here's a great one from 951RS - big file

Yeah, I'll have my pictures and videos up later on today

Awesome run! Though the cruise to cypress was a bit spread out hehe. I somehow figured we would have been all trying to get up top as quickly as possible ;D

Good to meet ya Ren - yep it'ts tough for 968's to keep up with those modded 951Turbo's when climbing mountains, esp in the AM when the air is cold and dense.

Come out next week for the BBC, you'll see a lot of different Porsches

Ok, looks like getting the video up and running will take longer than expected, Premier is not liking the files I'm giving it for some reason =/ Yet they play just fine else where, figures.

But the pictures are here:

Porsche Cypress Run

There are a bunch of them

Ok, forget premier, I just cut the more interesting bits into seperate files using a different program. They're more bite sized than one large video

Porsche Cypress Run, they are here. Not the most exciting videos, but it was a traffic / cop heavy day, so might as well avoid any unwanted attention ;D

Hey Mike, Ren - where were you guys on Sat am for BBC run??? About 40 P cars came out - from 356's to GT3s!!

Next weekend is the "renegade" Whistler weekend - not an official PCA event, but fun nonetheless. Check out the PCA-CWR website for details. i disregard the "cancelled notice and go to this link:

Sorry man, this month is pretty busy for me (and most of next month), and I got a lot of stuff on my mind

The problem is I'd need to wake up at 4am just to make it there before you guys leave. At least, eat some breakfast and get ready to head out to north van. Once things calm down a bit, I'll definitly come out and join in the fun

I'm definitly looking forward to that front engine fest!

PS: I can't make it this weekend because I'll be in Boston untill the 21st
