when they are set correctly for the springs, bumps make the rear feel "nervous"

even on full soft, i find the shocks "twitchy" compared to hydraulic shocks, and then the rear end is bouncing around because there isn't enough shock for the springs - all of that leads to a tendency to have a feeling of less control

this was written up in countless articles about the car too - sure, it performed well when put to it, but then when you just wanted to cruise, it was considered harsh

but again, not a big deal to yank those

Too bad you don't like black. IMHO, one of the coolest M030s in the 968 coupe registry so far is a 94, A1 black, LSD, sport seats, with a Chesnut brown interior!!!

Matter a fact, it is the only coupe in that ext/intr color combo. I'm not a big fan of chesnut brown but it might look pretty cool paired with black, oh, and obviously it is a late 94 with the seats you like (chesnut was only available in late 94/95).

Jeff, I had no idea chestnut brown interiors were an option on 968s I think that's a killer color ( if it's the same or very similar to the tone of what I've seen in some Boxsters and BMW M3s) and agree it would look great in combo with a black exterior... or midnight blue, or silver, or just about any exterior color for that matter..it's very versatile IMO.

Are you saying that M030 coupe in the registry is for sale ?!

"Are you saying that M030 coupe in the registry is for sale ?!"

No, sorry, just that Porsche built it for the North American market so it is out there somewhere (unless it was wrecked or whatever).

Here is a photo of a chesnut brown interior. Kind of looks red in the photo but it depends on the photo and light.

wow, may be the lighting and/or the photo as you said, but that does look way red... not the shade of chestnut brown I had in mind..

i've seen the color in person (i think it was even that very car), it's not that red, but it's not really brown either

"it's not that red, but it's not really brown either"

Exactly, but note, everythng is chesnut brown, the door tops, dash, console, steering wheel, everything. Similar to magenta, classic gray, black, cobalt, marine or mid night blue. No two colors.

i'm not normally a fan of anything close to red on interiors, but as i remember his car, it did have a very "rich" feel about it - it was a far more esoteric reaction than can be had from pictures

you might change your mind if you saw the very dark "wine" red with slate grey offset combo interior in BMWs - I know the 645i has it, but I'm sure it's an option on a lot of other bimmers. IMO, that's the most beautiful interior color scheme I have ever seen in my lifetime.

subjective matter of course, but I'm just sayin'

nope - not for me - i don't like red, blue, white, or off-white interiors in any car (not a fan of anything but black, tan, or grey)

i'll leave all those other colors to the buicks and suburus

ok, so IF anyone becomes aware of an absolutely pristine sample of a midnight blue coupe which meets every one
of the factors I listed, with the only exception being that it's not a M030, send me a note anyway.. who knows, I might just have to bend on that one single factor ( simply because of the rarity of mid-blue "MO"s ) ...but the car would have to be practically flawless in every other respect.

Thanks

p.s. in that case though, I'd definitely want one with less than 50k miles ...

p.p.s. same reward applies

Here is one for you to check out. I don't speak or read enough German to read this in detail, but I'm sure that some of European members can help you with the translation.

Thanks guys, but having a car sent over from Europe is crazy...even for me. Would not consider that option, unless it was a Porsche museum 968 in the color combo I want, with NO miles on it, $ 30k price max and they pay for shipping..
