Lube, no not that kind of lube
#1

So yeah, cool title, right?

Anyways, I'm aware my suspension bushings needs to be replaced, especially at the back. But this is not due until a few months down the road.

So for now I need another way to get rid of the terrible squeaking. And I'm thinking lube, or soapy water. Opinions?

Another thing is I think my rear shocks need a rebuild(Yellow Konis) One of them is squeaking too. Anything I can put on there to stop the sound? Or do I have to rebuild them?

Never had those problems with my 968s but experienced both issues many, many years ago with a few of the American cars I owned , and searched for temporary solutions to stop the squeaking - no lube, grease or any other " band-aids " worked. Don't mean to say its impossible and there is no other solution but replacement or the bushings , or rebuilding ( the shock ) but I think it's doubtful any lubrication would solve the issues. Lol, soapy water will last about 30 seconds...

Well, guess I'll squeak through the long winter ahead and change them once I go for a M030 suspsnsion next year.

On the other hand I can't imagine you'll hurt anything if you put or spray lubricants on those, so worth a try ..?

I've had them since about February so I know all about that. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Silicone lube is what I hear should be worth a shot.

Hell, I think I'll test it out and see how it goes.
