When doing a full "add reply" there is a file attachment button which lets you browse your drive to upload files or under the My controls at the topyou can add them to your gallery.

Well guys what a p.i.t.a these solid bushings are turning out to be for the torsion bar holder, got one in on each of the holders, but the other ones have only gone about halfway in and thats with 8 ton of pressure on a press, with heat and lubrication, anybody on here used the kokeln rear delete kit and come across the same problem, the only way forward now is heat them really hot and give it some more juice on the press, if the castings bust i will have to look for some second hand ones and new bushes, or machine them out and obtain some replacements, any ideas would be much apprieciated, regards pazzer.

Racers Edge suggests using a hone if the fit is too tight. The same should apply to the Kokeln versions.

Cheers Eric, if i had some instructions with the kokelnpiece i might of tried that, but as usual i jumped in head first, now i may well have to fork out for replace bushes if my local porsche tuners cannot remedy the situation, or worse replace the housings and bushes, more expense, well i always live and learn the hard way. oh by the way i have got your car as my screen saver cool as f~@:, anymore mods for this year on yours matey, love to hear if you have . chris

i had exactly the same problem with the racer's edge ones - the instruction sheet somehow got seperated from the bushings between karl and paragon - i put them in just as you did, only to find that the suspension was binding up

i had to remove them and do quite a bit of fitting to get them to work right - in the end they still made noise

i went with the polybronze ones from elephant

i still have the set of the delrin bushings here that i pulled out if they would be of any help

Hi Flash, how did you get the racers edge ones out, thanks for the offer of the delrin ones but i am going to stick with solid at the moment, see how things progress tomorrow with a bit more heat, regards chris

um - delrin is solid (or at least awfully close) - they are the racer's edge bushings

i pressed them out

hey sorry flash i thought delrin was some kinda plastic, the ones i have are aluminium, are we talking about the same bushes here dude, its for the alloy casing that holds the torsion bars onto the chassis, i thought the poly-bronze one go over the the torsion tube and the casing slip over the instead of the old rubber ones, the you have to put a oil nipple in or a zerk as you guys call them. i am running the kokeln delete kit so i only need the housing to bolt the kokeln frame to the chassis.

delrin is a nylon... their self lubricating (to a point)...

a fantastic material when designing machinery and needing things to flow smoothly.

yeah - same bushing

the polybronze fit inside the aluminum cap, the same as the delrin, but use shimming instead of having to hone and file

sorry flash i dont understand, the polybronze bushes fit into the larger hole on the carrier that then goes over the torsion tube, am on about the one that bolts to the underside of the car just below the wheel arch, and i have looked on elephant racing site and they dont list them, can you clarify and prove me wrong dude, all the best chris

my polybronze bushings do not fit over the torsion tub - they go inside it - they also go inside the cap at the end of the torsion tube - the swing arm then is inside both of those

i think the ones you are talking about are the little blocks that catch the arm that comes up from the torsion tube - i left those rubber in a very conservative move, as i didn't want solid bushings there for reasons of tramping noise - the more i change things though, the more i think about stiffening up such bushings
