I came across this page in the Cab Sealing DIY Manual and checked my car out. According to the info, the difference in distances between the two arrows (X) on the right and left side of the roof must not differ by more the 5mm else the rig is put under excessive strain. I checked mine and I was out by 10mm, using bolts (3), I adjusted them to best I could do and got them to about 2mm diff. Is this the issue that causes the struts to snap?
Also... Is there a way to get them spot on? (using the clutch bolts maybe?)
