a/c operation knocked out by a bump on the road?!
#21

The culprit ended up being the actual HVAC control unit. It's fixed and not blowing hot air anymore. As an added bonus, the A/C is just amazing now, it's ice cold. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Pretty sure its the clip that's broken, i have had it years ago, although my airco was off at the time.

It's easy to replace and fix, i don't remember how long it took me but think was about 30 minutes work (or less).

It's easy to find in the foodwell at the driverside against the mid-console

Yeah thanks, I checked the clip. Fully intact in the footwell as described. Believe me, I would have MUCH rather replaced a clip than the whole control unit. But I did find a nice used one from a parts guy on Ebay. May have been 944reanimation. I would have to double check. Otherwise it would have been a cool $1K.

Sorry but my answer was meant for "<a class="" href="http://www.968forums.com/user/12301-968chapp/" title="">968chapp</a>" who started the topic.

The problem he has is due to the clip.

I think you should have started your own topic if you wanted to have answers on your problem  Rolleyes
