could anyone who has the oem door / fenders moulding strips option on their car measure the distance from the bottom of the door to the bottom edge of the molding strip and let me know what that distance is ?



probably best to do it right along the edge of the door, and with a tape measure ?



I imagine the groove in the middle of moulding strip is there so it can go right over the "crease" in the door.. but logic does not always dictate where things go on these cars <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



on 944s the bottom of the strip is 9" from the bottom of the door. If 968 doors are identical to 944 then no worries, but just in case there is a difference...

I'll call Ron and have him run out with a tape measure...provided he's at home, which is fairly rare I hear... the man's a regular jetsetter now <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />



but in the photo it looks like it's centered right over where the crease is so I think it'll be ok to mount it there.
