Purple/Plum
#1

Just saw a Purple/plum cab about 3 minutes from where I'm temporarily displaced here in Norfolk, VA. Unfortunately I was in a friend's car, but we stopped and I met the owner for a couple minutes. He was a fan, but not an enthusiast (his cab was a "1998" model)... his wife has one as well. They took three cars to restore two. Nice guy. I'm gonna drop by later today or next week before I head back south and get a photo op with both his and my cab. It'll be the first time my 968 has seen another one! Will post later.

Fun times.

Mark, yeah.... I don't know if his wife's car was a coupe or cab, but his def. was a cab. I didn't get off work until late, so I'll have to try and get there Monday afternoon.

Rhude, LOL It's ok. I'm notorious for killing a joke.

Joe,
Did you see this violet blue coupe on eBay last month?

I'm working on the 93s in the coupe registry now. I did finish the 92s and there were 3 92 coupes painted in code 57 violet blue. I would guess your car will be one of 7 or so. I'll know for sure by the summer.

Don't know if I like the car, but I love the seller. From his ad.

"You will notice that the Autocheck report has a "problem" listed. Well, some Ohio DMV genius who had way too many drinks for some reason 1) could not believe that a 4 year old car could have only 18k miles and 2) somehow wrongfully thought that the car has a 5-digit odometer only. So... they thought that the car already had 118k miles, but the odometer rolled over back to 0 after 100. So they marked it as exceeded mechanical limits (the only reason a title is marked such is because it has a 5-digit odometer that has rolled over after reaching 99,999). Please disregard this Darwin Award Candidate's mark on this car."

Not too many people know about the Darwin Award - funny guy.

I beleive a Darwin Award requires the subject to be dead as a result of their stupidity. I hope the guy at the DMV is alright
