NADA Pricing -

I've been doing a lot of reading on past posts and it looks like NADA is the most highly regarded price guide on this board. I am just not sure how to interpret their pricing structure. I put in the required info for a car I am considering and the below pricing is what I got. It's a private sale; asking $9900K OBO. Been on the market for about 6 months. Has 100% maintenance records, all up to date, no leaks, stored in winter, pretty clean. Needs about $500; in mostly the cosmetic department (dings, seat repair, etc). Before I saw the NADA info I looked at Kelley blue book which came in significantly lower ($8900 for excellent condition) and was going to offer $8400. Thoughts & feedback appreciated.

Ouch! the formatting on the copy/paste did not carry over. Hope my attempt to duplicate below is easier to follow...

968s are all over the place price wise. You have come to the right place. You can find the option codes in the owner's manual or in the trunk under the carpet. Send Jeff Coe (Jeff 968) the VIN and he will provide even more statistics for you. Is it a coupe or a cab? If it is an automatic/tiptronic, it will fetch a far lower price than a manual. Extra points for rare color, cool options (M030 suspension), etc.
The fact that it comes with all records and up to date service is a huge plus. It is generally thought that an "excellent" 968 will cost you around $20k between purchase price and defered maintenance items, if you can punch your ticket for half that, then you are in luck!
There is a Prepurchase inspection form tagged here in the forum, help yourself.
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Thanks Jay! So I'm guessing the NADA is irrelevant based on your response. My only concern is why has it not sold after being on the market for almost 6 months if $10K is such a steal.
The car is not a rare color, nor is it red or while. It's a coupe (I don't like the cab lines at all, lol), 6 speed manual and to the best of my knowledge does not have the suspension pkg but I will look into that. And I'll send Jeff the VIN number when I get the option codes.
Thanks again!
