Whats the best way to sort a scratched instrument glass, repair or replace? Is it glass or plastic?

Scratched Instrument Glass - fleetwood - 07-29-2013

It's plastic.

I've used this stuff on headlights/taillights with good results before.

Plan to do same on my instrument cluster too.

The pads / towels you use are just as important as the polish, as to not cause more scratches.

This kit comes with everything needed.

Griot's prices tend to be a little on the high side, but their car care products are quality.

Believe it or not I also use the commercial blue 3M Superfine glaze on plastic, works quite well. Problem is it comes in a $70.00 a litre bottle so if you only need a bit....

70 liter bottle? That's over 18 gallons!

Same glass as on 944 cluster. Find a 944 cluster of questionable quality at scrap yard, etc. and switch the lens. If the scratch is deep you'll never polish it all the way out.
