So I pulled the drivers door off today. The pull was easy, gritting the wire harness dicisnnected was a pain. Less pain to disconnect the two connections rater than pull the door panel again and then pull electrical pins. The two connectors are routed along the driver footwell behind the cruise control computer which will need to be removed and on the firewall hidden by the main electrical/fuse panel. Had to pull the drip pan to get clear access.
I cut the upper pin and reinstalled from the bottom. Upper hing is very tight. Pictures show the problem. Seems the bushing wears out and then essentially squeezed out. Install pictures tomorrow.

Stupidity Rap! Not a shock really! The Prime minister et al are in Scotland telling us lies about how its bad for Scotland to be independent. Its all smoke and mirrors. Cheers.

Door hinge replaced and the door no longer sags! You can tell it's German cause it goot n tight. Had to pull the Central Electric board from the car to get to the door wire harness disconnect. Was easy to pull and glad I did. Found corrosion on several pins so I decided to open her up and clean the corrosion. As I dug in, I found more. Decided to rip it a new one and clean every contact, relay, and fuse. Hoping this solves my electrical issues. More to follow.

Bulti - Bottom hinge was worn as well but not as badly. If you can lift up on the door while full open and it has play, I would recommend replacing both of the hinges and pins. It was very easy to accomplish once the door was pulled. Hardest part was access to and disconnecting the two connects for the door wire harness. Access was a real B as it buried behind the Central Electric at the firewall.

I suppose if I was smaller, I could slide in through the window and avoid the door. That would be cool.

Stephen, what do you mean by "Central Electric board"? Is this the box where all the fuses are under the hood? Or are there any more somewhere hidden from view? I want to check the contacts too as I think it would be a good preventative maintenance. Thanks!

Bulti - Yes, it's the main electrical load center of the vehicle. I have been having several issues with my car and noted it had an electrical fire while in possession of one of the previous owners. Thought I corrected all problems but figures what the heck, so I pulled the board and disassembled it. Attached are pictures of it pulled apart in layers. I found several contacts badly corroded and others spread apart so the contacts were not secure. Disassembly is not for the faint at heart. It's reinstalled now but I have yet to power up (connect battery). I did take opportunity to also inspect and clean the two ground points next to the wire harnesses on the footwell area. You can see corrosion (black) on several of the contact points as well as staining from some liquid. If you go this route, wear gloves so you don't cause corrosion from parts you touch. I cleaned everything and then put a very lite coat of dielectric grease on contact points. The corrosion was cleaned off with 380 grit Emory cloth and contacts squeezed back together with needle nose pliers. As your working with very thin copper, I suggest you be very gentle as parts will bend.

Holy cow! My knees are getting pretty weak... Maybe I should stay clear of it until I got some electrical trouble. Looks like one could easily do more harm than good fiddling with that thing.
