A couple of weeks ago I attended an event near to home.
It was put on by 911 & Porsche World magazine, but as it was only a 40 minute run and I'd never been to any Porsche event before, I thought I'd take a look.
It was bright sunshine all day (a big surprise for the UK) and this made for a great drive in and a pleasure to look around the cars.
I'd never seen so many P cars together in one place, although 90% were 911's of all years and models.
I was hoping for a decent auto jumble as well, but I was disappointed to find only a couple of stalls. I guess if that's what I want, I'll need to pick my events better.
Unfortunately, the 968's were a bit thin on the ground. I only counted 5, including 2 cabs and a stunning speed yellow CS. I guess this just goes to show how rare the 968 actually is and I'm glad I have one.
There was also a good showing of Speedsters and they looked terrific all parked up together.
The star for me however was this spyder (genuine or replica I've no idea) which was stunning.
I apologise for just the rear view, but it left before I could get any better pics.
All in all a good day out for all those attending I'm sure.
Summer has gone now, but next year I will definitely show my face at a few more events and try and get some better photos.
