Porsche event in Eureka Springs, Arkansas
#1

Greetings all,

I along with Bruce Ward are in the process of putting together an event in Eureka Springs Ar. (Northwest Corner of Ar.on the Missouri border) I have been visiting with some members from 968.net, KCWS, Cimarron region PCA, and Ozark region PCA. I would like to hear from some of the 968ers from this group that might be interested. We have a few dates in mind and are ready to announce a definite time. I know there are a lot of people all over the country err... world from this group who will not be able to make it, but I hope everyone will feel welcome. It would be great to get together with some of the great people from both sites..... the more the merrier!!

I would be willing to check on hotels, organize a drive, and contact Porsche people, Door prizes are already rolling in for this event!! I think it would be an awesome event, there are EXCELLENT roads, fantastic scenery, great places to eat, entertainment, shopping, (there is a historic downtown area where shopping is a BIG deal, ...... for the wives)??,during the car show? etc. I think it would be nice not just for 968s and 944s,(although there is a lot of interest from this group locally), but for all P cars, except for Cayennes......, O.K. Cayennes too! I live just over an hour away and don't mind taking care of any leg work which would be required.I would like to get some feed back from some of you on this site, so we can move forward. We were thinking November or early December?? (More along the lines of November now from some feed back) I can check on group rates for hotels, food, shows, etc. Again please post request, or suggestions and I will be happy to get started!!

Suggestions so far:

1. Drive through the Ozarks Again there plenty of EXCELLENT Roads, see Bruce's pics!!

2. Car Show, where owners get to show off their cars and visit with other owners, while the wives shop in Downtown Eureka Springs. Time to just look at other cars and BS. ( we have an excellent location for this )

3. Swap meet, not sure yet , but if there is sufficient interest??

4. Slide show from participants, bring your own or???

5. Door prizes, we have several vendors donating.... more to come

I would like to hear from some of you 968 guys. We have some 968s coming and several 944 turbos, but I am hoping to reach any and all interested. We want MORE 968s!! You can contact me directly at: Lzechied@rhs.k12.ar.us

Thanks everyone,

Leonard
