POLL: Like it or Hate it. PORSCHE windshield banner
#1

Had thoughts about doing this for some time but thought it might look a little too "racer rick". I thought a windsheild banner would look good on a 968. Sunset sells an OEM one for $120!! That's an expensive sticker. Found a place online that does them. www.racinggraffix.com You can't go wrong for $20. If I get sick of it I can just peel it off. It easily adds 5 horsepower!

Spelled it wrong. Here it is... http://www.victorysignco.net/porwinbnrs.html They custom made mine with no background. Just the letters.

Same here, funny how tastes differ. I've been removing the labels, and some folks put more on.

Either way the car still looks great, it's a matter of personal preference.

Hate anything huge like that, particularly windshield banners ( unless you're racing the car ) but no problem with any SMALL porsche logos or crests elsewhere

Boy I think the red on red looks hot. Although I'm sort of an anti sticker guy myself. Course if it really gives you five more horses who knows!!! Lol

i want just the black strip because it makes the car look so much wider. only really works like that on a cab though

Agreed. That might be nice. And one of those sun-shields would be slammin' too.

I had one on my car a while back and loved it. It was a semi-transparent version of the letters "Porsche" so it did not stand out the way the red version does. Very subtle. However, when the windshield cracked and had to be replaced I did not put on another one. It really is a matter of preference. I think it looks good either way. Just my 2 cents.

I like it. Works really well in the Guards Red.

I also had one on my car a while back and loved it. It was a semi-transparent, frosted version of the letters "Porsche". I did get tired of it and took it off.

Not as understated as I had first thought it was.

I have de-blinged my car as much as posible, and had I the forethought, I would have removed the nader light for the trunk when I had it repainted and also would have revoved the badge from the front when body work and respray was done.

hindsight is always 20-20.

Have looked at this stuff and decided against it. The 968 is a bit unique and most people do not know what it is, so to emblazon the brand all over it (even though it is moulded into the rear bumper) is a bit - look at me.

Although, I do have a sticker on the rear window which states "Porsche Cars at Bathurst 2010" which is also a bit chintzy - so I am also guilty.

If there was a way to fill in the molded-in PORSCHE on the back bumper, I'd do that, too.
