My Cup Size is Too BIG!
#1

I have "The Wedge" cup holder as so many of us do, but its cups are much too large for all of my coffee travel mugs, so driving to work in the morning is a dangerous affair of shifting, braking, and mug-juggling.

Before I use the CNC machine to knock out a few "adapters", is there anything others have done to make those mega-holders hold cups of a more manageable size?

$55.00?! Must be made of unobtanium. [Image: blink.gif]

For that kind of cheddar, I'll make some nice inserts out of wenge, bubinga or lacewood...

lol - that's for the riveted version - the regular one comes with screws instead of rivets

Bought the 9X one some time back but just can't decide where to stick it. Would someone be so kind as to show a pic or two.

right side of console - remove the screw in the side of the console - slip metal part under console - line up hole - reinsert screw - done

What is it with us 'mericans and cup holders?! I'm too busy driving and listening to music when I'm in the 968 to worry about a cup holder. Now the daily driver- that's another story... I want cup holders everywhere, and then some!

especially since i have a cab, i find the cupholder essential - it is so hot and dry here, i go through a lot of water on a decent drive

Previous owner mounted one on each door pocket (flip down type). You can see it just to the lower/left of the steering wheel.

I would say that the one on the passenger door works ok for the passenger, but the one on the drivers side (my side! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) is not that great. If there is a cup or can in it, it tends to get in the way of your left leg. For the driver I think that mounting it on the right side of the console would be a better idea. Close enought that you can reach over and use it, yet not in the way of your legs.
