I just passed emissions with my 1993 968.

I didn't want to pony up for OEM cat, so I had a Magnaflow universal heavy metal one put in for $265.47 installed. It took 30 minutes, I drove for 20 miles to warm it up and no problems passing. Exhaust noise is quieter, too.

HC 0.26 grams/mile
CO 4.68 grams/mile
NOX .31 grams/mile


Thanks Scottsdale Muffler for the work and Exotic Motorwerks for diagnosing.

I hope this helps anyone who was in my position. I can certify that this works as a cheap alternative to OEM cats.
