Parts test, Who will win?
#1

Found this in my engine bay stuck in front of the master cylinder. I have seen it before but I'm damned if I can remember where it goes. Under the hood somewhere or top of a valve, nut or screw?

This is a small piece that fits around the screw that attaches the under hood light to the hood. Located at the nose of the hood underneath and near the hood latch.

Hope that htis helps.

Bingo! Why they put a cover over a screw there I'll never know. Maybe because if you loose it you can pay 8.00 to get it back from Porsche

Tks

I knew what it was because I just replaced the light after I smashed it recently. Have no idea why it's there either, just put it back where it came from.

Let's continue this contest. Here's my unknown part - I don't even now for certain that it is 968-related. Anyone?

Hall sensor, the one that was developed by XXX (Brett?) to replace the expensive OEM part.

How'd I do?

I guess you did very well. I was thinking/hoping that's what it is, but I didn't know. So, you could have said it's the upgrade for my toaster and I couldn't have argued with you.

I guess I should install this at some point.
