a day at my garage
#1

a couple of weeks ago, greg stopped by to have me poke his chassis brace in - while he was here, we had a visit from one of my neighbors in one of his 2 cars like this (just makes me sick) - this is the "daily driver" - the other one is concourse perfect

Isn't it nice to have neighbors that share your passion?

I could really use a lift. I found some decent ones staring at $1600.

Nice car, wrong color and no ruge (sp?) knock offs

i am finally just about to pull the trigger on a lift - should be here in the next couple of weeks - lol - of course by then the car will be back on the ground with its new suspension - this last go-round was the final straw - took me an hour to get it in the air so that no jack point was a suspension point

by the way, the other car is silver - it sits below his concourse perfect 356 cab

I do NOT want to know if he has two buxom blondes driving his two 300s.

the truly sad part is that his "kid" (though not all that far from my age) drives a not so great 944

LOL, ah the 944, the car you give your kid when you say you want to get them something nice, and sporty, but in fact it's the cheapest bucket you can give him that isn't going to ruin the homogeneity of your fleet.

And the 300SL gullwing is my favorite car of all time, bar none. Thanks for sharing pics.

That said, I think owning a concours perfect car, and never driving it, is a sad waste of a car. I understand the compulsion but I try to disagree with it.

Beautiful cars. I photographed a rare factory works unit at a show here in Barcelona back in 2004.

Glad you liked it. I found this version especially attractive without the bumpers, etc. Should've taken more pics!
