I was next to a blue Targa on the I-15 heading up the Cajon Pass from San Diego late Wednesday afternoon. What a great looking car! I saw a red one at Niello, but the blue is far sharper and it looks a lot more impressive in motion. A good choice.

Finally the ignition key is on the correct side of the steering wheel!   Very sweet car, congratulations.   I drove a Targa for 11 years, but a lowly 1982 -- which probably has very little in common with this car.

Oh no, seriously ?! Ignition key is on the left ? Ugh, probably one of the most idiotic ideas in vehicle history ..( IMO ) ..though I'm sure left-handed people love it. Or, I suppose it's also ok if you have a U.K , etc. vehicle with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car ..

However, a 2016 Targa does not have a push button start mode, so you still get to use use a " real key " ?


Looking at the photos, 'ya think those calipers are big enough ?! Sheesh, looks like it would stop on the rim of a dime !

lol - no worries - i got keyless ignition.  i don't use a key at all.

 

i've seen 2 blue targas, one of which was a gts, but this is the only one on the continent with this exrerior/interior color combination

 

car was quite fun to drive.  i don't know how to describe it.  it just felt really good in every aspect.  danged quick too.

p.s. - i already broke the car.  because i have not yet mounted the radar detector, it's plugged into the tap in the glove box. the cable pushed against a plastic trip piece to the left of the cupholder flip door panel above it and popped the glue that held it in place.

 

lol - saturday morning car repairs - some things don't change, even when you spend $175k

It's now " baptized " . But you'd think for $ 175 k , the Porsche factory would use something more superior than an Elmer's school glue stick to affix trim pieces ...

And so it begins, next will be parts to improve some if its weaknesses, then trim parts that are hard to find and don't work as well as they should, followed by performance parts.

 

It's just our nature. I go nuts if I am not working on something.
