Original CS Recaro seats for everyday use?
#1

Hi,

I just bought a 968 CS M030 which has the normal leather seats, because the previous owner didn't fit into the Recaro ones, and had them replaced.

I love the look of the original Recaros, and would love to put them back. However, I will have to use this car as an everyday vehicle for some time (hope not more than 6 months or a year max; I ride a bike from spring till fall). So, I would like to know how impractical they are for everyday use in town?

I am used to reclining seats in Subarus (I had 3 Imprezas) and sorts, so I can do with a little discomfort, but if I need a crane to get me out of the car at every stop, that is too much .

thanks

adam

PS: I know that the M030 is already too much for the street, but it is not a question of rationality (which I don't thik I have to explain).

Well, only you can decide if it is too much. Why don't you swap the seats and try it for a while?

Personally, I think a car with sports suspension needs supportive seats. The two just go together...

I have a 944 with recaro seats in it, and they are comfortable enough to drive it daily. I do miss the ability to recline them , I'm 6'6" and that is important. Not sure if they would be the same type of seat or not.
