Going by the fact that we're supposed to be using DEXRON II, which is no longer available.
The folks on the oil forum said that DEXRON III is backwards compatible with II.
So, tonight I'll add some DEXRON III to my power steering reservoir!

I topped mine up with Dexron III after a leak from the clamps at the bottom of the reservoir.
Then I replaced all the fluid with Redline "SYNTHETIC ATF" from Paragon which is described as "synthetic Dexron II, Mercon, and Mercedes-Benz approved fluid. Superior stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides improved shifting in cold weather."
