What type of splitter is that?

i discovered another difference - this one will blow your mind

late chassis and early chassis are different!

the firewall shape is different in the late chassis and the cruise control cable pass-through is at a completely different angle - i haven't yet seen just how different it is anywhere else, or why they did it, but it is very clear that they made a rather major change in the shape

When you say early and late what are you referring to? The 92-93 change or the late 94-95 change?

i already knew about the chassis differences in the early 92s, most notably the strut towers

but now there is a break at the mid 94 changeover - it was rather shocking to see it with an early and late car side by side - very odd change

I know this thread goes back a ways, & I don't know if any of you are still monitoring this, but as I search for "my" 968, this discussion has been invaluable. Thank you so much!

my US 92 coupe, with a VIN ending in 165, has the speaker insert grills. My 92 ROW cab, VIN ending in 558, has the earlier 944 style speaker "holes"

Post 48 shows the speaker grills in my ROW 92 cab with a VIN ending in 558. Same as was in my 944 (more like holes in the panel). Post 26, bottom picture, shows the grills that are in my US 92 coupe with a VIN of 185 (sorry I said 165 earlier). Neither one has a grill that looks like the pic in the top part of post 26. The coupe has the 8 speaker stereo and the cab has the 6 speaker system. And my 92 coupe with a VIN of 185 does not have a recessed hood badge either.

A related question: was the same space saving spare used throughout production? I know there are two different designs with the round hole being more valuable apparently. Which would a late '94 have had?

I notice the PET lists 965 362 130 00 as the space saving wheel/tire. Is this the same as the 965 362 130 01?
