Reminds me of the Barris VW beetles with the Rolls Royce kits. Very sad indeed. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Yikes!

I do have to say that the fabrication, from these pictures, looks exceptional

Finally - a fixed headlight solution. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

So what would this be designated - is it a 9112868?

That came to my mind also.

I also like it. However I would change the following: Id Paint it black and add black mesh. Then adjust the front bumper so that it doesnt have such a low drop. I'd shave it up an inch or two before the splitter.

BTW. Im still not sure that this isnt photoshoped.

Somehow it looked better as a picture O_o Maybe it's just the lack of carrera gt headlights, and the colour

Wow....I did a triple take on that pic.

Basically, I'm speechless. It might have worked, but just too heavy on the front end, and plain doesn't flow.

I've never really cared for the tail lights on the 68, [they're plain compared to the other models]. I think the 928s lights look sharp!

Take away all the crap below the headlights in the front, delete the through the bumper panel exhaust and then take off the aero kit along the sides and it doesn't look too bad. BTW was that a 944/951 platform, look at the 1/4 glass...

993 front end would have looked better and matched the style of the rear end much better. I hate the boxter/996 front lights (no offense Sandoval).

You left it's DNA origin # out, 44.

There's a guy who has a Silver Grey car in his avatar that gets around the boards with a sort of 993/44/68 hybrid looking thing. It's a 3/4 shot from the front angle (a bit above). It's on a country road with some pretty green landscape around it. I don't know if it's a real car or some clever photoshop stuff, but I think it looks really good seemingly against public opinion? I also would be interested in the exhaust layout as I thought this looked very nice.

If I could get a body shop to make my car look exactly like that photo( the latest version, without the large rear spoiler/tail ), with the quality of work being nothing short of factory finish appearance and function, I would gladly pay the equivalent of another 968 coupe's market price simply for that conversion.. but I doubt there is any way that result can be attained
