you know things are getting bad in the airline industry when you see the pilot doing this.  i think the caption should read:

"head up, tray high, arms out front, smile!"

Just got back from Christmas trip and flew on Alliegent Air, a discount line. Want water? $2. Want a coke. $$. Maybe this guy flies for one of those lines and has to bring his own food.

Flying used to be fun. And glamorous. Remember stewardesses? Flash would get repremanded using that term today.

Hey, better than carrying alcohol . One recent viral video shows a pilot clearly drunk and stumbling through the security point on his way to boarding the plane , another story which just broke today was about a pilot found completely wasted drunk and sound asleep in the cockpit half hour before the plane was supposed to take off. I believe ( in both cases ) these were not U.S. airlines . Still...WTF ?!

I used to fly from Reno to Elko 4 times a year to do site visits for a grant we had out there. The "vomit comet" as it was called held 11 passengers and the pilot would turn around in his seat and give us all the pre-flight (pre-fright?) instructions, then turn around, yell CLEAR PROP! and off we would go. I eventually got used to it, but the first few times were unnerving.

lol - i have been known to call them waitresses.

flying can still be fun.  the new lounge at LAX is nice.  the new seats on united are great.  looking forward to the new pods.  the TV screens are huge by comparison to old.  champagne is still free flowing (ok - probably prosecco).  you just have to fly business class.  well worth it though.  i won't fly coach anymore, if it is over 3 hours, and i don't need or want any services for flights less than that.
