Silver / Blue - Grey 1994 Cabrio in Atlanta, GA
#1

Hey there! I'm posting for the first time.

I have a 1994 968 6sp cabriolet with about 73,500 miles. I currently have it up for sale but, when it doesn't sell, have decided that I would like to keep it and continue using it as my "happy place" car -- a weekend and special day courier. And that's why I became a member. I don't have any skills! It appears that some people around here do have skills. You know, skills that girls like.

Oh, and skills that I can use to solve problems with my car. Fantastically, and to no small fanfare, I replaced the oil level sensor and recharged the AC. I can't find those badges for my sash, though. So I'm fast catching up to you engine-rebuilding freaks of nature.

I like how 'locked-down' the forums are by the admins -- quite a contrast to other sites!

Thanks for the tips, Jay. And nice 968 <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> ... our sewing machines RULE!

lol - re: locked down - we encourage everyone to speak their mind, and as a rule don't censor anybody, but we do have a tight grip on things, due entirely to the desire to keep things on topic, focused, and in the appropriate areas. this allows new members to find things more easily, and to get the help they need, without so much of the hassle of other sites.

the Tutorial will explain a lot of this. once you figure out the site, it will all make sense. almost everybody feels this is the best place for anything 968.

great bunch of guys here. enjoy.

Thanks, everyone. I've already enjoyed learning (for the first time) what my options are, using the "Reading Room" forum. Good stuff. In this case it's easy being green.

Oh, and the explanation on the power top mechanism and adjustment. That's supremely helpful as I don't have a Porsche repair shop that is willing to toy with it. Perhaps that'll be my first question (or search) of the forums -- independents near me (zip code 30068, GA, USA)!
