Purchased 968 a few months ago. Signed up for this forum, but don't think I ever did my intro. I'm a retired engineer who moved from the mid-west to the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Or.) when I retired. One of my hobbies is restoring old things. Got introduced to the 968 at a race at PIR earlier this year and got hooked. Have enjoyed it for a few months, but my first minor maintenance has led to bigger issues. I'm pretty much a do it yourselfer, especially now that in retirement I have more time than $'s. It's great that there is a good following for the 924/944/968 breed; leading to a lot of good info on-line.
Wondering how many other 968s are in the Portland area. And, since there are several "special" tools required to work on our cars, is there a tool library in Portland where I can get a balance shaft belt tensioning gage?
