Guessing a " apples to apples ". Ferrari counterpart to this would probably cost at least 100 % to 150 % more , so I can see Porsche purists salivating over it .. But it's still a 911 , so it has ZERO appeal to me, I'll have to save selling a kidney for something else ...

Lol, you make that at least 200% and of course would choose the Porsche over a Ferrari. But not 'cause of the price difference.

Or the fact that it's pretty hard nót to look like a douche arriving in a Ferrari somewhere, lol.

Over here douchery is generally associated much more so with Lamborghinis ( or the all-time perennial favorite, the Corvette ) than it is perceived as a typical characteristic of Ferrari drivers . There are exceptions of course, say , if you pull up in a La Ferrari , or FXX, or a highly customized one with crazy coloring schemes on it, and happen to be wearing a track suit amd gold chains when you step out of it. . That said, it is true that the Porsche is not nearly as in-your-face as the Ferrari, and yet arguably a much greater performance value for the dollar . It's a remarkable machine ..a perfected monster for sure. Too bad it's disguised inside that VW Bug shell though .. ahem, IMHO .

Is this a west coast thing? Here on the east coast you don't need a car to be a douche.

Notice that Philippe titled the thread with " I'd sell A kidney for it .." he does not say he'd sell HIS kidney for it ... just sayin' , if someone is discovered in a bathtub somewhere in Belgium, packed in ice and with a huge gauze bandage on his mid-lower back , and then we notice Pilippe driving around in his GT3....well, it would not take H. Poirot to solve that mystery ....
