New Option Code RX-WD001

@Jeff - you know, during deer hunting season, if you turn them around you can attract deer to you. Kind of like a rolling feeder without feed.

XDEER - funny Jeff. When I lived in rural PA I ran a deer down (on accident of course) on a country lane late one night with my 83 ish Datsun 200SX - not pretty. Not sure that the whistle would have helped, but it certainly would not have hurt anything.

Trying very hard not to chase it, but I suppose from the deer's perspective...

I know - I drove to work the other day and it started to sprinkle part way home - hmmm..... The Rainex worked well enough and I only hit 2 lights on teh way home. Got hit by 4 drops...

I have had enough problems with badly adjusted lawn sprinklers and streetlights to make running without wipers a totally unacceptable risk. Plus if you get in a wreck and it's the least bit misty you might end up with the ticket regardless of who was at fault and your insurance might not be in force. "Yes but I was driving fast enough for the RainX to work" might not answer for it.

I too have hit the wiper arm plenty of times by accident. It's pretty close to the wheel. I'd get the CS wheel except for the lack of airbag.

As for the wipers, can't live without them, front or rear. I replace those about once per year and just ordered new fronts and rear that should arrive next week. I guess it says something when you get excited about new rubber on glass.... Insert joke, here...

And as for the Rainx, it always leaves my windshield cloudy, no matter what I do. I've got a couple of bottles of the stuff. And at highway speed, when it rains, the rain walks up the windshield making it look like the Millennium Falcon going through hyperspace.

RainX is wonderful stuff, you just have to make sure you always driver over 70Km or the drops don't move fast enough. I tried the stuff on my wifes car and it was nothing but greif with the cloudy smear it produced. I assume it has to be glass related somehow. No matter how I cleaned/prepped her windshield I could never get safe results.

i tried that a couple of times over the years. the key is that you cannot use the wipers if you use rainx. i nearly got killed dragging the car to the east cost when i got hit by a gail in missouri. the rainx became a smeary black mess that got onto the wiper blades and would not come off. it looked like it dissolved the wipers or something. never again.

since i don't even notice my wiper arms, i'm just leaving them

i suppose that somebody could always fab up the turbo rs piece i've heard about but don't know that i've ever seen that covered them..................

I'm keeping my wipers. I can't stand the Rain-X. Tried it and didn't like the way it streaked when I needed to use the wipers.
