New old guy with 968
#1

Hello all! I have purchased a 1994 (718 car) Blk/ lgt gry coupe a little long in the tooth but is cleaning up nice <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/happy.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> This is finally my first P-Car after waiting for my family obligations to be fulfilled <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/beer.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I'm in Huntington NY and look forward to joining this group. The guy who sold me the car was a little less than forthright and it's my own fault for not having a <acronym title='pre purchase inspection'>PPI</acronym>. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/whine.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I have also joined PCA and may drive down to the AutoX this weekend to have a look <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rock.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Welcome to the money train. The ride is fun, but the tickets can be expensive!

Welcome and enjoy your ride. Avail yourself of the knowledge which exists within. It will make this easier, more fun and perhaps save some money!

Welcome.

If you can or care to do your own wrenching it's a pretty cheap to keep ride. If not, well hell, it's still fun.

Welcome, this forum is amazing. I have already dealt with some of my 968's problems using information on this site. There is a lot to know, but the good folks here seem to know it all, and I appreciate it! You will too.

Welcome. Sorry to hear the previous owner was not forthcoming. That almost never happens. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Good luck in your clean-up process, and post details when you get a chance.

Hello, and welcome. I love the 968 because it does everything well. It is not absurdly fast like allot of cars these days. It seems that allot of people just want a car that will go a bazillion MPH just to say it does! When you drive your car mainly on the street you only need so much to make it fun! I do more reading the writing. There is allot of interesting things going on here.
