For those of us that might be a bit inexperienced with their recently acquired 968 and or dangerous when tools are involved......how would you categorize this maintenance list as far as level of difficulty for doing these  DIY with a 1 being the easiest , 2 intermediate, 3 the most difficult, and 4 take it to a pro.

Hi Peco I would add other things into the mix/ decision; time and need ...... I'm not a great mechanic, when I read the advice given on here it is obvious there are others with plenty more experience and skills. I make mistakes and have to go back and fix them, but my 968 Is an enjoyable pastime and not a commuter car. So if I have to leave it a while it's not a problem. That list is a 2, not the same as dropping the engine or g/box and replacing internals. So read the associated info, have a go at replacing whatever, make sure you test thoroughly before starting/ pressurizing, and learn by mistakes (hoping they're not too disastrous). Build your tool stock, it makes a difference. Oh, and what are your facilities? Car lift? Garage with ramps? Kerbside with bleeding knuckles.



I guess you need to decide who you want to be, have time to be, and then build towards that. Good luck, we all started at the beginning, the advantage here is that you are already part of this support group.

and does anybody know where the grounds are for these cars? I need to find that area too. I like my grounds to be clean when have new 968 like me. Wayne 95M003 968
