New member, looking for my first 968
#1

Hey everyone, new member Brett here.

I am not new to Porsche's but am new to 968's. I currently have a 914 that I doubt I'll ever sell, and have had 911's and 944's in the past.

I love the 993/944 styling blend of the 968 and the engineering seems to be poised to stand the test of time. Got to love a 4 cylinder that is pushing 250hp!

Unfortunately, I am being very picky on which car I want and it turns out I'm looking fo a needle in a haystack. I am looking for a 6-speed coupe, with either slate gray or colbalt blue exterior, and gray/black/combo interior. I have talked with Jeff from the 968 registry and he tells me there were very few of those made so I could be looking for a while, which is fine. I don't mind waiting for the right car and paying accordingly for it. I will continue to do my research as I wait and read up as much as I can.

If anyone has a lead on the car I'm looking for, I would be very appreciative!

Welcome Brett,

I'm afraid if you were able to purchase this exact car you would need to climb over a hill of dead competitors. That combination is in very high demand. You might find that lowering your requirements, even just a bit, that there are many great 968s out there.

Best of Luck,

Jay

Thanks Jay and yes, I know I'm trying to find one of the most desired 968's built but being this would be a fun weekend car, I don't mind waiting. I'm sure one day it will show up

Welcome.

The cobalt exterior is rare enough, and the gray interiors are getting harder to find as each year they turn more purple and black.
