Hello 968 group!

When the 968 first arrived on these shores, I wanted one, but the price scared me away. Even though a 911 now resides in my garage, the desire for a 968 has not faded.  Maybe there is one out there that has survived and is healthy.  I am looking as far away as the upper Midwest.  If I can find someone who can perform an honest PPI I would fly there, adopt it and drive home!

Thanks for allowing me to join the 968 group!

Greetings from Osprey, FL.

Hi PJ,

What are you looking for coupe/cab? Concourse or modified? Manual/tiptronic? etc...

There is a very detailed PPI form pinned here, so that you are aware of all the specific 968 issues are addressed.

Regards,

Jay

Welcome and good luck with your search. Don't limit your geographic search, airfare is affordable to the west coast too. Lots of nice one out there, just be patient.

I bought mine from PA but I live in Portland Oregon. I had it shipped by a very good shipper called Coast to Coast shipping. 800-794-9009. I ask for and they agreed to ship it on the bottom and in the middle so as to prevent road damage. It was very affordable at the time in 2010.  Much cheaper than having something go wrong on the road, Good luck in your search. It is worth the wait.

Thanks for your kind welcoming emails.

I am interested in a Cab/6 speed, that has not been modified, or at least modifications that can be reversed to original or near original specs.  Would like a very good driver, if that can be found.

Why no mods?

To agree with what Rap said, unless you plan to concours the car in the "anal retentive" class thee are some very good and beneficial mods that you will actually want to do. Not talking about the 48" base speakers in the back seat kind. Look for cars that have been well tended to, not necessarily bone stock.

Hello & welcome!!  I live in San Francisco & Sparks, Nevada.  I found mine in Tennessee and drove it home (coincidentally, working that week in Orlando, FL).

Since there aren't that many of them, I'd say don't limit your search or you may overlook one...

Sry for delayed response.  Perhaps I should clarify my response that indicated mods would scare me off.  I saw a car on this site that had great looking (period correct wheels) that would be easily changed to stock wheels.  This would be more than acceptable.  However as 968 forums enthusiast mentioned a major entertainment change with panel cutting would be a no go.

Also, thanks for shipping ideas
