Hello,

I just purchased a 1992 Guards Red 968 Coupe 6 spd. Should be picking it up tomorrow. I actually found it off craigslist while I was searching for a 944/951. I'm looking forward to learning all the intricacies of the tinkering that follows. See you guys around!

Your going to be in for a big surpise when you crack this nut open. I fear maintaining and operating a 968 is/had become a life journey <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Don't be afraid though, when you can snatch the pebble from Flashs' hand you may drive away with confidence grasshopper. Welcome aboard!

Update! I finally was able to bring the old girl back home with me. I was able to pick it up for a pretty sweet price, all the belts, water pump, fans had just been replaced as well. There are a few gremlins that I'm going to tackle once I get the chance. Speedo/ABS, fuel pump is a bit whiny, getting a new radio in there and a good tune up with cap, rotor and plugs. Here are some crappy iphone pictures taken at stop on my way back to AZ. I'll post up some better pics once I wash/wax with a better camera.

Welcome aboard! You'll enjoy the 968. Just make sure your A/C is charged and working before summer. Enjoy the fun ride.
