New Member in WA
#1

Hi All!

Just want to say that hello to this great forum and introduce myself. I am James and live in Covington, WA. I just acquired (inherited) a beautiful black on black'94 968 Cab 6sp that has only 38K miles on the clock! This is the first porsche I have ever owned and I absolutely love it! I have owned bmw's in the past but this by far takes the cake in ultimate fun driving. After a quick browsing of the forums I know I am in the right place as it seems that the members are really helpful. I can't wait till summer is here and I am able to get out a drive with the top down, hopefully there will be meet ups that I will be able to come to as well. I will also be posting some photos here soon so you can all see this beautiful example of a 968.

Thanks and fun driving to all!

James

Welcome. Kiss you spare cash good bye, that thing is going to be an expense hobby. A 968 is like heroin only there is no rehab, you just keep getting more hooked. Now where's my cheque book, I think Flash is working on something new.....

Glad you inherited your cab, I had to buy mine. But no regrets--found it in Burbank, flew down to pick it up and drove it home. The 968 is a great car....if you get to Portland give me a yell first.

The day I bought my 968 Cab in Seattle, I first saw a '94 "black on black" that was for "sale" in the Lynnwood area (maybe on consignment). Would that by any chance be the one you now have inherited? Could there really be two '94 "black on black" 968 Cabs in WA???

Anyways... welcome to the site! Hope to meet some WA 968 owners someday soon...

Thanks for the welcome!

Jake, the car came from CA so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the one you saw.

Dave, yea I have already got the mod bug and am planning on doing a few things this year. Funds allowing that is.

It would be great to meet up sometime this summer and go for a drive. Hope to see some of you around and will always wave when I see another 968!

Welcome to WA. There is a Porsche show at XXX root beer in Issaquah on May first. Hope to see you there; we can talk about 968's.

Brian, what time does the meet start and when do you think it will end. I have a photo shoot I'm doing at the old Olympia Brewery in the morning. I hope to be able to make it up there in time.

Sounds like my kind of car. Identical color combo, state and year. I found mine with 52K miles.

I'd love to see some picts!
