New Member in Santa Ana CA
#1

Hello all! I am a new member preparing myself for 968 ownership. I live in Santa Ana California, currently own an '87 930 and have been toying with purchasing a 968 as a daily driver/fun car. Currently I am commuting in a 2012 VW GTI Autobahn, which is a great car, but I am really yearning for something with more character. I came here to learn more about the cars in preparation for purchasing one sometime within the next year.

I hope to talk to you all soon.

Welcome to the forum. After having the 968, you won't drive the 930 any more. Some add on go fast goodies and you will have a car that is both fast and handles (and can turn and accelerate or turn and stop at the same time without wanting to swap ends).

As you can see, we are a bit passionate about the benefits of a 968. Plus it is practical as well.

Lots of great people here and lots of great information contained within the forum.

All the best with the search. Keep us informed.

Thanks guys, after owning the 930 for a couple of years I am very impressed with the car, and want to expand my Porsche experience. The 968 seems perfect for my needs. I have an hour long commute (each way) on the 405 freeway in SoCal and was tempted by the Tiptronic, but I am going to want the performance of the 6 speed and am getting a little bored with my automatic commuter cars over the past several years.

Cheers,

Eric

Big fan of the 930. The classic whale tale. Very happy with my 92 968. Lots of character. Welcome
