Hello to you all.

I just bought my first 968, a -92 tip with 150 km on the meter.

It looks like there's a lot of expertise about the 968 gathered on this forum!

On to my first question. Does anybody know where I can find an owners manual to my 968? (Preferably on the Internet?)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome! I don't think I've seen the actual "Owner's Manual" in electronic form. Service and parts manuals yes, but Owner's Manual, no.

I saw it for sale in the classified either on this site, or the reenlist or ebay. If you need it, you need it, I would have bought it to have an extra but it was being sold as "RARE" and wanted at least $30 or more. They are out there in paper form.

Welcome to the forum. As per other posts, never seen an electronic owners manual. Plenty of service and parts manuals.

Hope your car brings years of enjoyment, and same for your membership if the forum.

Welcome Benjamin, good to hear that there is some 968s in Finland, my native country, where I spent my fist 40 years before moving to Australia 1990and the to USA some three years ago. I have to say that as much I enjoy my 1994 cab I still miss some goof times on the water between Helsinki, Turku and Marienhamn where I used do quite lot of sailing and boating.

Hope you will find the manual as I have had lots of help when doing some 'upgrading' on my cab.

Again welcome and enjoy the journey with 968. Mark Wekara, few times National ice circuit champion during 1970-1976......

Time for an update on my hunt for an ownersmanual!

First, thanks for your input! I really appreciate it! (specially Optigolf! Always nice to hear from a fellow countryman!)

After spending more then a healthy amount of time roaming the web for an owners manual I´ve now decided to hoist the white flag... I´m having the nice people of Porche Center in Turku (Finland) changing the timing belt on my baby (taking place in the beginning of september). Hopefully I can retrive an owners manual at the same time, and HOPEFULLY at a lesser price then what i found on eBay... (about 200$)

I hope soon to reach a higher level on this forum so i can take part of all the interesting information gathered here (and maybe post some pictures of my baby?)

Again, thanks for all your help so far, and as Arnold said: "I´ll be back!" <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/EmoticonCar.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Hi Benjamin, good to hear from you and read some lines (thanks for the nice words for me). I was last weekend at on one of the best racing tracks you could find, Watkins Glen, for three days on so called Driver Education (DE) which can be almost like real racing, excluding it is not allowed to pass on corners, which takes quite lot of the real fun off. However it was really good to be in good track after some 35 years.

Now tossing forth and back should I take driving a bit further or leave it there. At least I am not going to take my 94 cab again to the track, even that it was absolutely great car to drive, especially in the corners and allowing me for teasing much powerful 911's and M3 cars.

In a couple of years I might move to live in Australia and partly in Finland so I might take my cab to Finland, as in Australia we are driving on other side of the road, so not too convenient to have a steering wheel on 'wrong' side.

All the best for you and your Baby, look after her. Mark
