Hi to all!

I've just contracted to purchase a 1994 968 Coupe, Guards Red, 6 speed! I've been a Porsche owner for the last 10 years and have had several different models including a Panamera GTS and two Macan S's (my wife's cars). On the sports car front I've owned several Caymans from 2007 to my current 2018 718 Cayman GTS and 2016 GT4. Yes, I like the mid-engine cars! But I've wanted a front engine model for quite a while and was originally thinking about a 928 but they are very complex cars and are also getting very pricey for a good one! Then I 'discovered' the 968! I like the looks of it and the layout (front engine, rear transaxle) for balance and I like the rarity of it! So, I found one on the PCA website and I'm going to pick it up next Friday and drive it 800 miles home!

Looking forward to becoming a contributing member of the forum!

Welcome, we all hope your new ride has fresh belts. An 800 mile drive on old belts would make most of us cringe.

Thanks to all!!

I'm led to believe that all the belts, including the timing and balance shaft belts as well as the accessory drive belts have been recently replaced so I'll have a good look at the receipts and validate that before I drive it all the way home! And once I get home I'll get a proper picture or two on the website!

I'll be maintaining this car myself so you can be sure I'll be looking for the best advice from all you experienced 968 owners!

I get the impression that the 968 owners are a pretty exclusive crowd!
