Hello. We have a 1994 968 Cab to augment our 1988 911 Carrera. Have been PCA members for many years, and have just discovered 968forums. I do most of the mechanical work on both cars and am now considering approaching the timing belt/rollers/water pump replacement so you may see posts from me on this topic and would appreciate any advice you can give.

Hi and welcome

You've found the right place for discussion of topics like the one you mention

Once you get a few posts under your belt any limited access will open up

Use advanced search (gear icon?) to quickly get info on topics

And post some pics of your car on your settings page when you can

Regards, Michael

Welcome,

Darryl in Sterling is very helpful. Also, he owns Odds and Ends Detailing (a sponsor) and is the rep for Adam's polishes.

Regards,

Jay

Hey, thanks for the warm welocme. I'd like to stick a photo in somewhere but don't know how yet. Anyway my wife and I have three "toys", hers ('95 Nissan 300ZX), mine ('88 911) and ours ('94 968 Cab). We're both car nuts, enjoy autocross and track days in the 911 and top down cruisin with the 968. The 968 purchase was her idea, but when your wife suggests you buy another Porsche, what's a guy to do?

P38, you need to make a number of posts before you can add pics (I think 5)...the walls are high to keep out the lurkers, but once you're in you're a friend for life <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Can anyone recommend a good top replacement shop for our cab? We're near Lynchburg, but would drive anywhere in VA and most of NC for a good shop.

Thanks

Try LIM's in Chantilly, Va. I have used them for a number of repairs and replacements. There phone number is 703-327-3232. They also have a place in Tyson's Corner.
