Hello.  I am seriously considering buying a 968 and want to learn more from Forum members about experiences, knowledge and issues.  I am retiring this coming Summer and am ready to invest and want to make a well informed purchase.  I used to own a 1973 BMW 2002 and want to upgrade to a more-modern, more-powerful, faster, more-nimble 2-door that I can work on and enjoy.

Hello Jolly,

I live near Newtown...would be happy to show you my car, and give some hints on what to look for, etc.

Welcome. These are nice cars, just take your time and find a well-maintained one. Jay's is an exceptionally well-prepared example and would show you what you can achieve..

Welcome.  The 968 is a great car.  The best of the 924/944/968 cars, and I have had a few...  I'm not too far from Philly and would be happy to show you mine as well.  I have a few mods for handling and such.  My car has the RS Barn stage II chip with header, some porting on the head, 951 M030 suspension, all the Design 1 braces, and the Chassis Brace as well...  It's not incredibly fast, but it is a fantastic car to DRIVE.

Are you considering a Cab or a Coupe, and are you looking for a fully-sorted car, a fixer-upper or something in between?

Welcome. Enjoy your search. If and when you find something have Max at Provost, in Bordentown, do a PPI.

To hijack the thread, does anyone have the part number on the stock chip.  Sorting through a few here and can't tell which one it is.
