Well in truth I feel a bit  like an interloper here as I don't own a 968! I have a pretty heavily modified 1979 924 that I race in various land speed venues (Bonneville, Utah, Loring Maine, Arkansas Mile, etc.). My interest in joining has to do with my considering an upgrade to a 968 3.0 liter power plant (versus the current 2 liter engine). I hope that I might be able to gain a better understanding here of the 968 engine and modifying it. BTW, the 924 holds three world land speed records in the 2 liter class and with a larger engine, I hope to successfully move on to that larger engine classification

Welcome,

You need to contact Pete Fitzpatrick at RS Barn. He has spent years squeezing the most HP out of the 3.0 NA engine, and is extremely knowledgeable.

Rick, welcome!! Really cool and congratulations on your success with the 924...

This car makes left and right turns, but IIRC the motor makes 1500+ HP, so might be usable:

Can anyone explain why I can't post a new topic? With almost no exception, I see the message, "You cannot post a new topic" on virtually all forums. This (replying to my own intro) seems to be the only way I can post anything. Very frustrating. Sad

you need to have 5 posts before you can do that.  Just make a few more comments etc on this thread and you will soon be there.
