New member - Boston, MA Area
#1

Hi All, Drove home my 94 968 Cabriolet last night.  Black with Tan interior.

Very excited for ownership (I've had a Boxster and a 993 before, so not new to Porsches).

Couple of things I noticed on the drive home that will need some attention.

1. Steering/Suspension was a little vague.  The car only has 65,000 miles from new, but I think the bushes/struts will need replacement (thinking Koni Sports).

2. Headlights are terrible...person who followed me home could hardly see me on the highway - advice welcome on how to improve that.

3. Dash lights are incredibly dim (even on highest setting).  was thinking of replacing with 12v 3.8w bulbs.

I like to do at least some of the work myself, so looking forward to a summer of tinkering.

Let me know if you're in the Boston area, would love to meet up.

Phil.

Hi Phil, and welcome to the forum.   Yes, the dash lights are not the brightest.   IIRC there should be a thread somewhere in the forum where some people replaced the dash lights with LED lights.

Replacing all of the lights, and redoing the foils behind them should solve your issue. LEDs may work, but some find them too bright, distracting for night driving.
