Hi, I'm an automotive mechanic specialising in Porsches, from New Zealand. I haven't got a 968, however work on a number of them in different forms. Am currently converting a 968 clubsport into a turbo RS replica destined for trackwork. We also look after several other track Porsches, mainly based on the 911 platform, but also 944's, 924's and 968's. Joined the forum to gain advice and help, as well as to help others where I can. Thank you for having me, and I hope I can be of help.

Welcome,

Plenty of information here as well as open ears whenever you can contribute.

It takes a couple of posts until you have all the rights, but we are going to need to see some pictures of your progress on the 968 Turbo

Enjoy,

Jay

Welcome.

Post pictures! If you don't have any of the 968, then post some of New Zealand <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Thanks for the welcome. Will post photos soon, at the moment we are awaiting parts, the interior has been stripped out, roll cage fitted, and twin cam engine removed to be tweaked and turboed. So far it's been mainly pulling the car to bits. Have altered the front bumper, removed impact bar, and cut away shell to allow for intercooler to be fitted. The car was raced in clubsport form for maybe a year before the owner decided he wanted to go faster. When I get myself organized I might start a thread to show its progress.

Unfortunately the rebuilding here is far from starting, lots of insurance hoops to jump through for a while yet, but the ground is moving alot less.

I was in Wellington the day the quake hit, and flew over the next day on the way to Queenstown - very humbling.
