Hello 968forum.com members, First time porsche owner kicking the e30 bmw habit. I have a 944 S but thought it couldn't hurt to be a member here since you guys deal with the 16V motors. I'm just here to lurk and learn for a while.

Does your S have a license plate that reads "THEPATCH"?

Welcome to a fellow "S"er . It is a shame there is no group for the S anymore as it is a forgotten car that has few enthusiast owners.[Image: sad.gif]

Thanks for the welcome guys, but the honeymoon is over already. Drove the car about 500 miles, refueled, and took my giant friend from work who is a huge open minded car guy (probably from being around me for so long, he is a big subaru guy)...we're talking 500+ lb's more than if it was just me! The shift from 1st to 2nd just disintegrated my stock rubber center hub on my clutch.

Most people would be pretty pissed at that moment, but I bought the car with no records and knew what I was getting into. I had a $5500 budget when I bought the car, so I have $2500 left to spend on a clutch, everything timing and waterpump, front end, and springs/shocks. I Bought myself a Lindsey racing Spec stage 1 clutch kit yesterday, pricey!

Whats up with me not being able to see pics? I see a URL IMG code but no pics. I've modded a few forums, and this is bar none the most "protected" forum I've ever joined. Kinda turns me off.

The Introductions section doesn't show smileys if you use the "click on the smiley" method, but you can embed them with a colon-character shortcut.

The Introductions section is the only area that you cannot post pictures in (or even use the QUOTE function for that matter)...Once you have a few posts under your belt, head over to the 968 Showroom forum to show it off!
