new Hemmings 968 article
#1

Check out the latest Hemmings Sports & Exotics July 2011 entitled "Porsches for the Frugal", pages 30-35. I liked page 35 the best where Author states "968: The best for last" and "All the expected modern features are present in the 968, including dual front airbags, ABS, and four-piston calipers on all four disc brakes. If you are looking for a unique, modern day sports car that looks great and compares well in every way to modern day competition, you should give the 968 a look. Just be prepared to be approached by less savy car fans and asked, "Is this a new Porsche model?""

Very good article on our cars!

The secret is getting out there! We need articles like this to help keep resale values from plummeting further. The E30 M3 bottomed out around 2001 (right about the time I sold mine!) and has been gaining ground ever since. The 968 could be in for a similar ride. We'll see...

Wow is that a good looking car. I especially like the comment that" this car is very fast". Wonder what that means!

My bet is that the car won't run right and that's why it's for sale. It's up on eBay also.

Waiting for Flash to chime in on that supercharger kit - wonder if it's any good. I'm alway leary of a car that was recently radically overhauled and is then immediately for sale...

Cheers!

Is there a link to the July article, Porsche for frugals? Or is it on newsstands like barnes and noble, airport, etc?

Thanks

The SpeedForce Racing supercharger means no AC. OK for Rhode Island, I guess, but it will limit his market to the cooler climates. Sharp car, though.

lol - i think i know the car - if it's the one i think it is, it blew up not long ago and had to be completely gone through and the result was "ok" and a whole lot better than it ran before, but still not completely right
