New build, how to remove HVAC components under the dash
#1

Ok, beginning me replacement rebuild (totaled my race car at Road America this year).

Stripping down the new car, how do you remove the HVAC system, I have removed all the screws, bolts, and spring clips that I can see/find but this think doesn't move.

I'm about to take a sawzall to the thing.

No one? Did take the heater core out, still not much movement, going to work on it again this weekend.

Update, finally found the one lag screw holding it. Just in case someone else is looking or need to remove the HVAC system there is a 8mm lag screw in the middle/front of the blower housing in the engine compartment that does down through and holds the HVAC unit.

I ended up taking the whole blower out before finding this.

Great! Glad you found it. What class of racing are you planning to compete in with your new 968?
