Hi all,
My name is Tim Betteridge and I live in the Northeast suburbs of Atlanta. I have been a long time 944 owner, having owned 4 in the past (3 8V and 1 S2), one of which I still have and campaign as an ITS car in SCCA. I was a PCA member for many years although that has now lapsed. I used to race in PCA club racing but gave that up for SCCA.
After many years of waiting I finally raised the cash for a 968. This is a 1994 black coupe with tan interior. It has it's original M030 suspension, LSD, and the fancy sound system. The car had a hair under 74,000 miles when I bought it in the Detroit area and drove it all the way home in a 13-hour dash. I can't say much for the sound system since it was inoperable when I bought the car - the amp under the passenger seat was fried so I bypassed it. I spent 13 hours just listening to the motor!
I'm now in the 2nd month of ownership. I have already diagnosed and repaired a few minor issues. Just need to work on some small rattles and then I have some other small problems, but basically it's a really solid car. I'm looking forward to the next autocross - this car is definitely the goods for that kind of activity.
