That is a cab top tension cable. both ends have round hole lugs and attach to the bows and arms with screws to keep tension on the top when up.
look for the empty lug and replace it with a new one made from plastic covered cable and lugs from a hardware store. crimp and solder the ends for strength. measure exactly.
