My 968 Sport
#21

Awesome photos. I keep looking at these pictures and think the same thing over and over again : anyone seeing a 968 for the first time ( one that's obviously in suberb condition ) has no way of telling this is not a 2011 model vehicle - the lines simply do not give away its age, looks like Porsche just designed it for this coming decade.

Ton,

I see you are also a Dutchie.

Since two weeks I lowered my standard 968 with 2,5 mm and replaced the shock absorbers for Koni Yellow Sport. Currently I am waiting for the M030 torsion bars front and back but they seem to be out of stock at Porsche in Leusden. Some patience needed. If you are interested I can show you the result live.

It is in my judgement from the pictures this is a similair height as the 968 Sport.

the torsion bars are the same for M030 as the standard car - there are no torsion bars for the front - maybe you mean swaybars or anti-roll bars? technically they are torsion bars, but not what we know as torsion bars, which are in the torsion tube, and are the rear springs

Thank you Diederik, I would like to take you up on that offer. Seems you have the same color even, so it should be a good indication I am not in a hurry with this, as I'm still waiting for my steering pump to get new seals and the high pressure line replaced, and adding fresh (stock, I have no aspiration for anything but street driving) castor blocks.

But while I recover from that, I'd love to see how your 968 sits with the suspension that is on my wish list

BTW, have you checked with porformance? I think they have the M030 sway bars permanently on stock ;-)

Hi Diederik,

Another Dutchie here as well (I already met Ton at one of the 'klus zaterdagen' organized through the Dutch Porsche forum). What springs did you use to lower your car. Did you go for the 968CS springs or do you have something adjustable? I do like the lowered look of the 968 sport of the topic starter, but am not sure whether it would be a problem on the speed bump around my area.

...most of the speed bumps are no problem. Only the higher ones sometimes will give a scraping noise at the front bumper. Driving slow and careful certainly helps. Overall it doesn't give a lot of problems and is a recommendable upgrade. The car handling is much better. How do we seek contact? I am reluctant to leave personal details on the internet. But looking forward to meet both of you.

Today I visited Porformance a sophisticated firm. The M030 front sway bar was not in stock. They also seems to be dependent on Porsche. Received some tips for further upgrades for relatively low amounts.
