More raves for RSBarn
#1

I had my wife's cab sitting up at RSBarn for little bit to have Pete do some work on it and luckily while it was up there he finalized his chips. I decided to go with the Pete's Stage1 chip and catback exhaust for the moment and will probably add his header and cat in the fall.

I have had the car back for a little while and had a chance to drive it in varying conditions and it is an amazing difference.

1) The sound is much better with the holes in the airbox and the new exhaust and the tip looks nice as well. Not too loud but deeper and more throaty under acceleration and deceleration.

2) I knew Pete was working on the chips for a while and decided to wait until his was released before chipping. Now I know why all of you rave about the difference with a chip be it Promax,Racer X or whatever brand. The car now pulls from the low RPMS through the high RPMS and is a completely different car.

3) Since Pete had the car and I wanted a little bit better feel from the suspension he put the MO30 sway bars on front and rear and now the car feels like a Porsche should when taking a corner. I thought the shocks were shot but thanks to Pete's advice I didn't need to go that route.

At this time of year the car is my wife's daily driver and she drives about 25 miles of back twisty roads to work. It's nice that no matter how bad her day was she has a smile on her face when she gets home.

I also swapped out her stereo for a new Blaupunkt so she has her iPod hooked up. Now she can blast her tunes while driving a car that sticks much better than it did and pulls much better as well.

After talking with Pete and seeing his work in person along with his head and cam development I sold my S2000 so I could look for another 968. This search is not going as well as I hoped but I'll hold out a little longer but I have expanded my search for another open top car. I have found out I don't fit in an NSX unless it has a racing bucket and my old broken down back and ass can't deal with that. The 993 is looking better and better and I have even considered another S2000 but I would need to go forced induction on it to get the power I want.

Sorry for the long post and I really should proof read it as the Nyquil is making me dopey but I can always edit it later.
